Description

Researchers receiving research funding from an NCE Network are entitled to apply for additional support from Research Manitoba through the Manitoba Centres of Excellence Fund (MCEF).

Total MCEF support is set at 20% of the federal government support (NCE) received by Manitoba researchers. Applicants must include Administrative Costs equal to 2.25% of the NCE award in their application budget (17.75% of the value of the NCE award is available to support direct costs of research).

Researchers can apply for MCEF support once NCE funding has been awarded. However, researchers who are preparing an application to an NCE can include MCEF support in their application as leveraged funds being applied for, and Research Manitoba will provide a conditional letter of support.

Please contact Freyja Arnason at Research Manitoba (Freyja.arnason@researchmb.ca) to request a letter of support, or if you have questions regarding the application form or process.
