Accelerate Research Internships

Mitacs is pleased to announce that the Accelerate research internship program is now open to both for-profit businesses and not-for-profit (NFP) organizations (e.g., industry associations, charitable organizations and economic development organizations). An NFP partner can participate if its proposed project has a demonstrable economic or productivity orientation (e.g., creating new jobs; reducing costs of goods and services; increasing productivity in a process or industry).

Mitacs Accelerate Research Internships are open to researchers in all disciplines, and provide support to graduate students and post-doctoral fellows who are undertaking research projects in collaboration with industry partners. Internships are available in four-month blocks and can be combined for single or multiple students. Each block is valued at $15,000 ($7,500 provided by both Mitacs and the industry partner) and can be used for both the student stipend, as well as a portion of research costs.
