Supports a broad array of applications that foster creativity at finding solutions to children’s health problems. Funds are reviewed in a two-step process: the first step is the submission of a concept paper which is accepted on a rolling basis; and applicants whose concepts generally fit with the current priorities of the Fund are invited to submit a full proposal.

  1. E.W. “Al” Thrasher Awards

    Awards for children’s medical research that have the potential to translate into clinically meaningful results within a few years. Grants awarded based on the actual budgetary needs of a project that can be ≤3 years in duration. The median grant amount awarded was $300,000 USD. Concept papers accepted anytime and considered approximately once/month.
