University Research Grants Program (URGP) – funding up to $15,000   (PILOT - Funding Increased for the Fall 2025 ECR URGP Competition Only)

Stimulates and supports the growth of research at the university to enhance UM’s national competitiveness in terms of Tri-Agency research support.

Fall URGP Competition is for New Faculty only

*Note: URGP Eligibility* For purposes of this program New Faculty are defined as full-time academic faculty members who are within five years of the date of their first full-time appointment. New Faculty are eligible to receive up to three URGP awards in the five-year period during which they are defined as new faculty.
