Program Type: Research and Innovation Action

Research Areas: Projects should improve the understanding of how cultural participation reinforces the social fabric and civic engagement in neighbourhoods and contributes to the green transition. Explore the wider benefits of cultural benefits for individuals and communities, including those who are vulnerable or feeling left behind. Analyze relevant variables, such as socio-demographic characteristics, the presence of meeting spaces/social infrastructure, digital literacy, local innovation capacity, polarization, wellbeing and mental health, safety and crime, loneliness, etc. 

Propose and demonstrate at least three strategies to foster and maintain the social fabric of neighbourhoods and support their green transition with demonstrations in at least three neighbourhoods in different Member States or Associated Countries. Propose recommendations to facilitate cultural participation. Social sciences and humanities expertise is required.
