Breeding for resilience: enhancing multi-stress tolerance in crops
Horizon Europe
The Horizon Europe 2025 calls for proposals are planned to be opening later in May. At that time, hundreds of calls will come open that Canadians will be able to apply to as part of a consortium with European partners. Learn about the process on the Horizon Europe Intranet pages. Below are summaries of a few of the calls that will be opening. Check the pre-published versions of the calls for more information.
Program Code: HORIZON-CL6-2025-01-BIODIV-02-two-stage
Program Type: Research and Innovation Actions
Research Areas: Projects should enhance crop stress tolerance, providing insight into mechanisms that support local crops and develop location-specific breeding strategies incorporating models and artificial intelligence approaches for prediction of cropping systems output. Collaboration with European research infrastructures such as AnaEE-ERIC, or EMPHASIS is encouraged.
