Overall Objectives for this Opportunity:

  • Advance the understanding of the prevalence, causes, and/or impacts of chronic pain among women Veterans in Canada, addressing contributing sex- and gender-related factors.
  • Analyze the health care experience and/or outcomes of women Veterans living with chronic pain and make relevant comparisons to women civilians, women Veterans of other countries, and women civilians working in male-dominated occupations.?
  • Explore clinical, social, health service, or policy interventions to address the specific needs of women Veterans living with chronic pain.

The total amount available for this funding opportunity is $375,000 enough to fund approximately 2-3 projects.
