Description

This program offers financial support to programs aimed at delivering hands-on learning experiences for young students (K-12) and their teachers, working with young Canadians to promote an understanding of science and engineering (including mathematics and technology).

NSERC invites applications particularly that promote the Natural Sciences and Engineering (NSE) to under-represented groups in NSE careers, including girls and Indigenous peoples.

Only one application may be submitted per department in a post-secondary institution per competition year. ORS requires a letter of endorsement from the applicant’s Department to accompany the application package. Units are encouraged to set an internal deadline to allow for decisions and/or this letter.

The maximum allowable request is $200,000 per year for three years; NSERC’s contribution is generally up to one-third of a program’s funding.
