SUMMARY:HORIZON-MISS-2026-03-OCEAN-02: Addressing aquatic pollution and biodiversity loss through nature positive solutions from source to sea - Internal Deadline
DESCRIPTION:HORIZON-MISS-2026-03-OCEAN-02: Addressing aquatic pollution and biodiversity loss through nature positive solutions from source to sea\n\nIA Projects will provide regionally relevant nature-positive solutions to address pollution and biodiversity loss. Researchers will test and assess upscale potential for combinations of approaches to reduce nutrient, chemical, plastic including microplastic pollution, considering together functionally connected freshwater, coastal and marine ecosystems. Conduct demonstrations in at least 4 sites from source to sea covering the most relevant socio-ecological systems in one of the Mission basin-scale lighthouses, with direct involvement of public bodies and socio-economic stakeholders. Monitor pollution levels at each site to assess removal rates, retention capacities, ecosystem responses and modelling techniques.\n\n€8 million (€32 million for 4 projects)\n\n\nInternal Application Deadline: Sep 02, 2026 \n\nUMFOD Details: https://research.ad.umanitoba.ca/mrt/pubapp/umfo_view.php?id=4215\n\nProgram URL: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/docs/2021-2027/horizon/wp-call/2026-2027/wp-12-missions_horizon-2026-2027_en.pdf\nInternal Deadline
