SUMMARY:Advancing bio-based innovation enabled by biotechnology and biomanufacturing concepts - Internal Deadline
DESCRIPTION:Advancing bio-based innovation enabled by biotechnology and biomanufacturing concepts\n\nProgram Code: HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-07\n\nProgram Type: Research and Innovation Action \n\nResearch Areas: Projects should develop key technologies underpinning the bio-based industry, in particular R&D on synthetic/molecular biology, gene editing, metabolic engineering, microbiome, and/or biofoundry approaches, covering all applications aiming at clean growth and environmental solutions. Advancing towards validation at a pilot-scale is encouraged, to enable future exploitation. Applications in health biotechnology and biofuel/bioenergy areas are excluded, since these are within Clusters 1 and 5. Ensure the integration of digital technologies (e.g. AI/Machine Learning, bioinformatics). Develop recommendations for policy makers and industrial actors. Activities are expected to achieve TRL 4-5 by the end of the project. This topic requires the effective contribution of Social Sciences and Humanities experts. \n\nTotal Funding Available: €12M for 3 grants of €4M \n\n\nInternal Application Deadline: Aug 27, 2026 \n\nUMFOD Details: https://research.ad.umanitoba.ca/mrt/pubapp/umfo_view.php?id=4248\n\nProgram URL: https://ec.europa.eu/info/funding-tenders/opportunities/portal/screen/opportunities/topic-details/HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-CIRCBIO-07?order=DESC&pageNumber=1&pageSize=50&sortBy=startDate&isExactMatch=true&status=31094501&programmePeriod=2021%20-%202027&frameworkProgramme=43108390&callIdentifier=HORIZON-CL6-2026-01\nInternal Deadline
