DESCRIPTION:Genomics Applications Partnership Program 2026\n\nAs a core delivery instrument of the Canadian Genomics Strategy, Genome Canada’s Genomic Applications Partnership Program (GAPP) funds research and development projects that support public-private innovation.\n\n\n	Total project size: $900K – $6M over 2 years\n	Genome Canada contribution: Up to 1/3 of project costs ($300K – $2M)\n	Matching funds: Remaining 2/3 (minimum 1/3 from the industry partner)\n\n\nGAPP projects must:\n\n\n	develop and apply a genomics-derived or genomics-enabling solution (i.e., tool, product or process) to an opportunity or challenge clearly defined by the Receptor (partner organization-public, private, not-for-profit sectors);\n	focus on late-stage R&D that will position the innovation for near term implementation/commercialization\n	be co-led by an Academic and a Receptor organization in partnership, with active and necessary roles for both; and,\n	have the potential to generate significant social and/or economic benefits for Canadian stakeholders.\n\n\nAll Genome Prairie/Canada funding calls are subject to the Policy on Sensitive Technology Research and Affiliations of Concern (STRAC) and the National Security Guidelines for Research Partnerships (NSGRP).
