Toward a comprehensive assessment of the disturbance of marine ecosystems by anthropogenic underwater noise
Horizon Europe
Program Code: HORIZON-CL6-2026-01-ZEROPOLLUTION-01
Program Type: Research and Innovation Action
Research Areas: Projects should develop or improve methods for monitoring the impacts of anthropogenic underwater noise pollution on marine ecosystems and species populations at different trophic levels considering regional differences. Researchers should assess the effects of noise exposure on marine organisms and ecosystems. Researchers should also investigate mitigation measures for safeguarding relevant ecosystem services, including carbon sequestration and develop tools to measure their impact. Projects should address knowledge gaps identified by the relevant assessments and if appropriate provide recommendations to policy makers.
Total Funding Available: €10M for 1 grant
