Description

The NSERC Collaborative Research & Training Experience (CREATE) program supports the training and mentoring of graduate students from Canada and abroad, and, among many features, specifically encourages:

  • enriched training and mentoring experiences
  • improved job readiness, and
  • student mobility

CREATE grants are valued at up to $1.65M over 6 years; 70% of the budget is allocated to student stipends.

Last year’s slide presentation (6 Feb 2025, for 2026 Competition) can be found on the UM NSERC Intranet. NSERC expects to update the CREATE information on their website in March 2026.
