RIA. Projects should develop bio-based substances to replace hazardous active substances used in biocidal products covered by Biocidal products regulation, particularly in wood preservatives and insecticides. Safer approaches with decreased risk to human health and biodiversity are sought. Solutions should be developed and tested to ensure effectiveness, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Cooperation is encouraged with SSH experts, SMEs, and international partners. Activities are expected to achieve TRL 4-5.
