The NFRF Transformation program supports large-scale research projects using a world-leading interdisciplinary approach. Projects must address a major challenge with the potential to realize real and lasting change.

Transformation grants are valued at between $2,000,000 and $4,000,000 per year (including indirect costs) for six years.

NFRF webinars on the NOI stage will be held on March 11, 2025 at 9 a.m. (French) and 12 p.m. (English).
NFRF webinars on the LOI stage will be held on May 6, 2025 at 9 a.m. (French) and 12 p.m. (English).
The links to the webinars can be found on the NFRF competition webpage (pre-registration not required).

The UM Major Projects Office will also host a webinar for potential UM applicants (date and time to be announced).

Please note: these grants are highly competitive. Institutional approval is required at all stages of the proposal beginning with the NOI. If considering a submission, please notify ORS as soon as possible. Support is available from the UM Major Projects Office for project and proposal development.
