Research Description
My interests are broadly related to the development of novel statistical techniques to alleviate the assumptions or restrictions of current quantitative methods in the fields of Psychology and Behavioral Data Science. I am particularly interested in component-based data reduction for regression problems, various methods for analyzing multiple correlated response variables, and the application of statistical and machine learning techniques to a variety of research questions in the social and behavioral sciences. I have explored various applications of these methods for studying substance use, rare genetic variants, Canadians’ political opinions, and changes in health status, psychological well-being, and cognitive faculties associated with aging.
