Research Description

I am preparing a critical edition of playwright Eugène Labiche's Théâtre complet under my direction. Sixteen scholars from Canada, France, Spain, Switzerland, and Germany collaborate on this ten-volume critical edition that is based on play manuscripts, as well as on French vaudeville scores. The first volume, including my general introduction, and the others (fifty-seven edited plays in all) will be submitted to Classiques Garnier Editor in 2015.

I am also advancing a research on the history of the French-Canadian press and its cultural challenge outside the province of Quebec.
