Research Description

My research interests have focused on supporting families caring for children with chronic illness, autism or developmental disabilities. This has included study of protection of children from environmental tobacco smoke. My program has evolved with an interest to include direct care provision for vulnerable populations (H.Pylori, pain assessment, decisions about care such as gastrostomy feeding. I have several studies related to knowledge translation. I use mixed methodologies.

Teaching Description

I teach mainly in the graduate program: qualitative research methods and role development.
