Research Description

Currently I have a three year (2011-20114)SSHRC funded project on Samuel Beckett's work, particularly his theater. The project explores the relationship between Beckett and the End of Modernity from a post-structuralist perspective.

In addition I research Intermedility and new technologies in theater/performance practices. Currently am researching the theater of he Chilean/Canadian playwriter Alberto Kurapel and the Robert Leepage from Quebec.

Another large project,one that I have been researching for the past fifteen years, is Modernity and Post-Modernity in literature, theater, modern classic music and fine arts.

Teaching Description

I teach Modernity, Post-Modernity, Post-Colonialism, Post-Feminism, Globalisation and Twentieth Century Literature and theater.
