Research Description

Dr. Starzyk investigates the individual and social determinants of collective action. Her overarching goals are to understand how to shift attitudes toward past and present human rights issues, as well as to understand how various frames of such issues or histories affect intergroup relations, focusing primarily but not exclusively on the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada.

Teaching Description

Dr. Starzyk teaches PSYC 2530 (Psychology of Personality) as well as senior and graduate seminar courses, the most recent with the title "Social Justice Research" (PSYC 4540/7310).
