Research Description

The overarching theme of my research is that families are systems and family members have a variety of effects on one another. I currently have two areas of interest falling under this umbrella. The first is on the family (including parental) factors associated with child Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. The second is on interventions with very young children (zero to six). I use systematic reviews (meta-analysis) to help me answer these questions and clarify the effects and relationships between these factors, as well as to identify moderators of the examined relationships.

Teaching Description

I currently teach two graduate psychology courses in School and Clinical Psychology: Child/Youth Psychopathology (PSYC 7080) and Consultation and Supervision (PSYC 7120). I also supervise both school and clinical psychology practicum students.

Public/Media (Non-Technical) Description

My research focus is on family factors associated with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and on interventions with very young children (zero to six). My clinical work focuses on play and attachment-based therapy with children and parents.
